CREATE YOUR OWN CV
HOW TO CREATE A CV EASILY?
When you apply, it is customary to send a CV. CV stands for Curriculum Vitae and is actually nothing more and nothing less than an overview of your personal information, education, experiences, skills and hobbies. The purpose of a CV is so that a recruiter can quickly see who you are and which position suits you well. But how do you create a CV? We'll explain it to you!
Step 1: personal information
A recruiter would like to know your name and where you live. You can also add a profile photo. Make sure this is a professional photo that clearly shows your face. This way the recruiter gets a good first impression. It is also useful to include your contact details, such as an email address and telephone number. The recruiter can then contact you directly. You can also decide for yourself what you want to say here, for example your date of birth and whether you have a driver's license.
Step 2: training
Tell us point by point which courses you have taken. Write down the year you started and the year you obtained your diploma. Start at the top with the most recently completed training.
Step 3: work experience
Under the heading work experience, list all the companies where you have worked. Start at the top with the company where you currently work or last worked and work your way down. Briefly mention the functions and your responsibilities. This way the recruiter can estimate what you have done in the past.
Step 4: skills
Have you mastered certain skills well? Tell us what you are good at.
Step 5: languages
We would like to hear which languages you speak. Techvisie employs professionals of different nationalities. It is therefore useful if, in addition to Dutch, you can also make yourself understood in English and/or German.
Step 6: hobbies
Finally, it is interesting for recruiters to find out more about the candidate – that is, about you! Do you like fishing? Do you play football? Or do you have a passion for motorsport? We would like to get to know you better.
FORMING YOUR CV
There are several ways to design your CV. The easiest way is in Word. You simply type everything together. With the TAB key you can ensure that everything is neatly aligned. This way everything remains neat and orderly.
Most computers often also contain the Publisher program. This program offers you just a few more options to make your resume look attractive. There are also design programs, such as Canva, with which you can create beautiful CVs. It is up to you how much work you want to put into formatting your resume. Adding a little color may make you stand out more, but beware of overkill. Always keep a CV clear.
It is important for us that the basic information is included, as described in steps 1 to 6 above. You can send your CV as a .docx or .pdf to us via jobs@techvisie.nl or view the open vacancies and Upload your CV to the vacancy that appeals to you most!
