What will you do as a luxury yacht builder?
- As a luxury yacht builder, you will be involved in the following:
Installation of technical systems: you install and assemble various technical systems on board luxury yachts, such as electrical systems, HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning), sanitary facilities, fire extinguishing systems and navigation and communication equipment. - Maintenance and repair: you regularly perform maintenance on the technical systems to ensure that they continue to function optimally. This includes performing inspections, replacing parts and resolving malfunctions and defects.
- Testing and Checking: after installation and maintenance, you perform tests and checks to ensure that all systems function correctly according to specifications and safety standards.
- Compliance: Ensure that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable regulations, standards and safety requirements.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other team members, such as engineers, designers and shipwrights, to ensure that projects run smoothly and meet all requirements.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all work carried out, including installations, maintenance and repairs.
- Customer Interaction: Communicate with customers as required to understand their needs and requirements and resolve any queries or issues.
- Travel: Depending on the nature of the work, you may be required to travel on site to service yachts in harbours or at sea.
