Job description
As a painter, you will work full-time on high-quality painting projects for both private clients and businesses. You work on interior and exterior painting and you know exactly what is needed to deliver a project neatly, cleanly and professionally. You look beyond just the brush: you think ahead, keep an overview and make sure the work runs smoothly. You work at different locations and you have variety during the week, because you are constantly working on a different building or project.
In your work as a painter, you sometimes work independently and sometimes in a small crew. Where needed, you supervise colleagues and take responsibility for planning and quality. You make sure materials and techniques are applied correctly and that the end result is right down to the details. You pay attention to preparation, finishing and keeping the work tidy, so the paintwork is not only beautiful but also lasts a long time. You have a down-to-earth, professional work attitude and you push on when needed. You keep the workplace tidy and professional, because that is also part of craftsmanship and because you often work in people’s homes or at a business.
You also have contact with customers. You think along about the best finish and advise on colour choices, so the customer gets exactly what fits the room or the building. You clearly explain what you are going to do, align expectations and make sure the customer knows what to expect. If you see that something can be improved or needs extra attention, you discuss it in time. This way, as a painter you not only deliver neat work, but also a pleasant collaboration on site.
You have proven experience as a painter, and experience as a foreman or working in a fixed team is a big plus. A category B driving licence is a plus, so you can easily get to different jobs and stay flexible in your planning.
